Blind Spots and As-If-Constructions

Blind Spots could be viewed as the back side of as-if-constructions. Elsewhere, I have described as-if-constructions by the metaphor of a bubble. Once you enter it, there are objects inside that don’t exist on the outside. E.g. if you enter the gold-is-valuable bubble, that mineral will turn from some shiny form of dirt into something very valuable. But at the same time, some things disappear and fade out of existence. There are not only things that exist inside the as-if-construction but not outside of it, there are also things that do not exist inside (e.g. the value of people might drastically reduce while the value of gold increases). So there are also blind spots in as-if-constructions.

(Just a note to be expanded into some larger article).
